After a glorious festival weekend, it’s common to find ourselves searching for ways to keep those festival memories alive. And let’s be real, there’s nothing like a good ole GIF to communicate those unspoken but all-too-real festival moments to which only true festies can relate. We decided to sift through our favorite childhood TV shows (shoutout to the Muppets in the image above whose band Dr. Teeth & The Electric Mayhem played Outside Lands last year) to bring your most relatable and hilarious festival moments to life.
We wear many hats at festivals, both literally and figuratively. Festivals allow us to step outside our normal lives, and infuse our daily selves with manifestations of who we dream of being. And the freedom to dress in costumes and take on personas without judgement only lets us take those dream-visions of ourselves further.
Sometimes, it all starts with a hat; a limited edition or one-of-a-kind topper is all you need to take any outfit to the next level. You’ll never have to worry about looking the same as anyone else. These designs are gorgeous and are always handmade. Their price tags mean you’re supporting independent artists and keeping the love in the festival community. Rest-assured they are worth the money, and many festival hat designers are open to trade or payment plans.
Whether you fancy yourself a mad hatter or a bedazzled military champion, the following designers can help you become anything you dream up.

We all know festivals are environments full of stimulation, where the party goes round the clock until the gates close Monday. There is so much fun to be had it can be a little overwhelming (how do you see two favorite artists on two different stages at the same time?!) After many years of attending festivals, I’ve learned that balance is important. Learning how to party is easy, learning how to party for an entire weekend or more takes some practice. You can go much harder for much longer if you take care of yourself throughout the process.

Words just can’t convey the music, people, environments, workshops and more that come together to create a delicious concoction of love and community. When coming home from a festival, it is common to reminisce about the wonderful times and wonder why day-to-day life can’t be more like a festival. Well, good news, it can be. Community is a huge part of the festival environment that keeps people coming back for more, so here are some tips on making your everyday life more like a festival by building community. This is important business, and we all can participate, by being open eyed and aware, and by speaking up when someone is acting off key….This article is great news from our European cousins, and I can speak for the Transformational Festival community in the USA, we are unified on this front, and have many, many support services and prevention systems in place. The holidays are about to be here and gone again, and chances are you’re already looking forward to an enchanting New Year’s Eve. New Year’s is celebrated as a time to reflect on all the epic adventures we experienced and accomplishments we made over the past year, and plan ahead for even more in the next. While it’s true that resolutions aren’t always taken seriously, the inspiration to change – while not always easy – can come from anywhere, especially our beloved festivals and festival culture. That’s why, when we reminisced on some of our favorite moments of 2015, we came up with ten New Year’s resolutions inspired by the festivals and the festival all-stars that made this year so damn good……
